This is so sad, seeing people taking refuge like this.
Thank you Finkployd. i feel like you are the only source of information I have to what is "actually" happening in Lebanon. Even the U.S. news media hasn't said one word about the oil spill yet. I dont even watch the news anymore to find out about what is happening in lebanon, because they wont tell me anything I want to hear.
I liked the picture of the children playing basketball. They look so happy, which is good because it lets me know that at least they will get through this. My family had to take refuge with relatives in the mountains. they were on vacation in Beirut 3 days befor this started. I talked to a few people about this, and they asked why would they go to Lebanon for a vacation. I explain how beautiful Lebanon is compared to its surrounding countries. Snowcapped mountains in the winter, and palm tree lined coastines all year long... I wish this would just end. I fell sick about this. Everything was going so well in Lebanon. I remember looking at pictures of the Cedar Reveloution last year on the news. The people were so proud and happy... so strong.
I would like to see Hezbollah leave, Israel just leave Lebanon alone, Everything that was destroyed be rebuilt, and peace returned to Lebanon.
This WILL end soon and when it does, I will go to Lebanon. The lebanese people are so beautiful, there country is so beautiful.
I am praying every night for Lebanon and this whole situation. Everyone in Lebanon stay safe. God bless you.
you are a kindhearted person.I felt so sad to see the ruin of Lebanon.I also hope the nightmare will end soon.I hope some day I have the oppertunity to visit beautiful Lebanon.
Great pics, I love the contrast. As a lebanese living outside of Lebanon, your website has brought a truely unique perspective and I thank you for it. I can only hope and pray that this nightmare ends soon for the sake of those inside your photos, and for the sakes of millions of lebanese watching helplessly as their homeland is torn to shreds.
A I read your messages the tears are running down my face.I just want you to know how much I care about the horror that is unfolding in your beautiful country, how sickened and angry we are in the UK by what is happening to you and your country,we are deeply ashamed of our prime minister and how he has allied himself with the US and israel, and the protests here grow daily,I cant express into words just how terrible I feel for all of your people, you are in my prayers daily, may god bless you and keep you safe x
Yes I know the fight is with Israel but we all know that if America told Israel to stop they would, they have it within their power to do so and they wont! we all know that America is supplying the bombs,we in Britain also know that those bombs have passed through UK airports without permission and it has caused uproar. Our Prime minister Tony Blair defends Israels actions publicly and basicly does as he is told by George Bush,we are ashamed of him here in Britain,he does not represent what the people want,
To believe that america has no part in this is naieve to say the least, but these messages are not supposed to be polititical,I originally posted to let finkployd know that people in the UK are very angry and upset at what is happening to the Lebanese people and that we care very much what is happening in Lebanon,
I sincerely hope you and all your family are still safe Finkployd, god bless x
Nice pictures and for a moment, I wished that the world will be run by peaceful kids like those children in the pics. Adults are so stupid, well certainly the rich ones that are causing death and massacring kids.
I hope you all are safe where you are. It makes me so sad to see what horror war creates for the people of your country. I have many friends from Lebanon online that I talk to and I pray you are all safe!! God bless you and keep you safe!
