this just in... the University of Balamand was Vandalised overnight
(night of Tuesday 30th of January 2007). the Action: obscene, hateful, political graffiti in blue (blue is the color of Tayyar Al Mustaqbal - Hariri)        anyone care to translate the graffiti? photos submitted by anonymous -finkployd- News on BloggingBeirut.com Trackbacks

I find this highly suspicious, as it is so blatant; this is aimed at turning Christians against Sunnis. My immediate reaction was that it must have been set up to look like that? Things are not always what they seem.

as a balamand alumni i can assure you thats this barbaric work doesnt reflect the usual atmosphere of the university. Balamand was and always will be a neutral location. i am pretty disapointed from these acts. although i am sure whose work it is i will keep my opinion to myself...
This obviously has been written to discredit the Sunnis in the eyes of the Christians.I wish to see some day when each Lebanese person will see himself/herself as half Moslem and half Christian at the same time.
