what do you meen lying? have you seen these rocket trucks? they look almost exactly like those things.

Here, watch this YouTube video of a Rocket attack. You can clearly see one of the hezzbollah rocket trucks firing, you look at that truck and tell me that they dont look like the trucks in those pictures, especially from high in the air.

The thing is that Achrafyye is a predominantly christian area of Beirut where hezbollah has virtually no support at all. That's why it's quasi-impossible that they hide rocket launchers there.

Thanks for the irony in this pictures. It was some kind of relief. The IDF bombed the trucks because one of them has the Lebanese flag. It feels like the IDF is playing a video game. Spare the bombs people, every bomb u are sending in vain costs a yearly scholarship for an Israeli kid.

I think this is quite sad, why is the world too blind to see the truth. Lebanon is getting crushed by Israel. the israeli's claim to be trying to get rid of the Hezbollah 'terrorist' group, now when the hell did the Ashrafieye be a place for the Hezbollah, as the news said, it is a christian community and with all the amazement and advances in technology, they have NO excuse to blow that area up. I mean, for god sakes, I have a satillite view on my PC at home and i could clearly see everything its called GOOGLE EARTH, I am sure a countries military that is being supported by the strongest superpower has a LITTLE bit more stronger technology than google earth, so to blow up 2 drilling trucks, thats the stupidest shit I've ever heard, and as I said, its very unexcusable.

I'm going to post this here because this is getting international attention and so, insha'Allah (God-willing) some people may benefit from it....

CNN is doing a good job of covering this whole crisis -- from the Israeli point of view...if this was all about Israel, I'd give them an award...however, this concerns Israelis, and Lebanese people.....so, for that they get an F+...

CNN is making a huge point of saying that it is monitoring the Arab newstations and for any new information they may not have...what CNN is doing is watching the news so they can IGNORE it or report it if it happens to make one mistake (i.e. they made a big deal out some arab stations saying that Hizbollah bought down an F16 plane when they did not).........I have all those arab stations that they get, and what those stations are reporting is much better than CNN because they give both sides of the issue..you hear about the 12 + members of a Lebanese family being killed in cold bold...as well as the 2 women who died in that Israeli town...what I'm trying to say is that CNN is NOT the most trusted name in news anymore...

as for the whole situation...I want to share something with you all, and you tell me if it doesn't make you go HMMMMMMMMMMM.......

On February 14th, 2005, Prime minister of Lebanon, Rafik Harriri was assasinated. Someone started the talk about it being the Syrians who assassinated him...all of a sudden, Lebanese people were told by US and the rest of the "civilized" world that they should reach for democracy and demand that Syrian troops leave Lebanon...International pressure, especially from US and Israel descended on Damascus..in fact, UN resolution 1559 was drafted and the US and Isreal DEMANDED that it be upheld....the Syrians left, but Hizbollah did not disarm....Syria and Iran were set up as an axis of evil.....then...a year after Syria, a fairly adequate military power in that region, left Lebanon, Israel deemed fit to attack Lebanon...oh yes, I know that Hizbollah captured two of its soldiers...but this is nothing new...Hizbollah has been doing this for years and Israel has been swabbing captives with them for years..anyways, Israel decides to attack Lebanon with all that it has.....that makes me go HMMMMMMMMMMMM, especially since former Israeli prime minister, Ehud Barak told CNN that this plan has always been on the shelf and they've just been waiting to use it...HMMMMMMMMMMMMM......now syrian troops are not in Lebanon to aid Lebanon, should it need it, so, it's an easier target for Israel......and it jsut so happens that "Syria assasinated" Rafik Harriri...........HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...just a thought...

One question I've been DYING to ask CNN corporation........

IF MANAR TV IS OUTLAWED IN THE EUROPEAN NATION, and NORTH AMERICA, DOES IT NOT MEAN THAT CNN IS BREAKING THE LAW BY WATCHING IT????

I am an American of lebanese decent, so obbviously I am not getting the full story of what is really happening in Lebanon and Israel because the U.S. media is only giving american citizens bits and pieces of what is happening ( some news stations are doing better than others though - mainly CNN and Fox News ). Because I cant get the full story from TV and newspaper, I was hoping that some people could answer a few questions for me that I am not being answered from the news. I have been watching peoples blogs ever since I heard about this site a few days ago and it looks like it is very heavly visited. If some people would be able to answer a few of the questions I have below, ( I would really enjoy seeing differnt peoples oppinions and answers ) this would help me a lot.

1. Were there people in the trucks that were mistaken and bombed?

2. If Israel is at war with Hezbollah, but not the republic of Lebanon isn't there more alternative and peacefull ways to solve this problem - such as The Lebanese and Israeli governments teaming up against Hezboalla together... peacefully. If this is or is not possible, why?

3. If Hezbollah does retreat and give up eventually, would Israel and Lebanon have any more problems with each other. If not, would it be possible that some day they may be allias.

4. If anything Lebanon is the most modern country in all of the Middle East, they are the most civilized and western also. Beirut looks as modern and even more modern than most U.S. cities. If the lebanese are this developed why isnt America an Alli with them.

5. It looks like if lebanon and israel would team up with eachother, they could be the most powerfull and peacefull countries in the middle east, has any one figured this out. If they were together couldn't they eliminate the Hezbollah gurielas and forces in the south "easily"?

6. The U.S. media is stateing that the reason the Lebanese government hasn't done anything about hezbollah is because they are to weak. Would this possibly be because, they are continuously attacked by surrounding countries, and every time a war ends, they are atacked again before they can build strength and gain the power they need to protect themselves?

7. It seems like lebanon is picked on a lot by its surrounding countries. Lebanon is in a region full of desert, yet lebanon has huge snowcapped mountains and beautifull fertile coastlines unlike other countries in the middle East. Could a reson lebanon is always being attacked by its surrounding countries be that everyone else around them is jealous of the beautiful small little country ( Lebanon )

Yes, maybe you could think these trucks were missile launchers from 30,000 ft. But from this distance, garbage trucks could be missile launchers too, as could cars packed with civilians, ambulances and just about everything else, and this "guess, then press" bombing is turning out to be a major cause of civilian deaths in Lebanon.

War from 30,000 ft is inaccurate and cowardly. Under the Geneva conventions, Israel is obliged to do better, and specifically to take all possible measures not to harm civilians and allow them safe passage. I can't go another night seeing bits of children in bombed out cars pointing North.

May God protect them.

It would look like a rocket truck to me from far away too! In times of war, Israel has to make decisions based on their best evaluation of what is going on. Since Hizballah wants to hide among innocent civilians, it would be even more difficult to judge whether or not something like that truck looked to be a legitimate danger or not.

Nonetheless, I think the war is a tragedy. I feel so bad for the innocent people on BOTH sides of the line!
