what s the point of noting that someone is a member of a particular faith? isnt it sufficient that they are human beings?

noting one's faith in understanding the photograph better is not inappropriate.
this particular photograph lacks proper composition, lighting, etc... but is very very heavy on the content, and knowing that girl in white is a maronite living in dahieh adds even more weight to the content - after all, she was photographed in her neighborhood, where israel repeatedly reassured us that only 'hizballah terrorists' and their families resided.
do you understand the value of knowing her religion now?
stop being so politically correct - that's no better than being a fundamentalist.
