although, at the time it was all too obvious who the 'enemy' was,
especially after being hit by a rock and retreating to an advancing tsunami,
today i am not so sure.
it seems, in the middle of a rock fight, there's only one perspective
"Which side are the rocks 'coming' from?"
but after the fact, especially with records of the event,
and the calmness necessary for introspection,
the 'enemy' becomes human and the onslaught appears reactive.
i am beginning to understand what makes a civil war so difficult to end
