Info  Severe traffic jams on the Beirut-Sidon highway, Aug. 14th. Both lanes of the divided highway are flooded with southbound travelers returning to their homes. Ahead, a destroyed overpass has fallen on the road and the eight lanes bottleneck into a single dirt track.  Many people returning home strapped mattresses to the roofs of their cars. At least they will have something to sleep on if their homes have been destroyed. Pictured on the poster is Hassan Nassrallah. His image and other Hizballah paraphernalia is displayed on many vehicles.  The military attempts to rebuild a destroyed bridge on the road to the southern city of Marjayoun.  Improvisation of a footbridge with cement blocks.  This family could not wait for the bridge to be completed.  A military truck attempting to cross the river before the foot bridge is completed.
