Man oh man , i can't believe this!!! Our government isn't doing a single thing to get the canadian citizen out of Lebanon... I'm ashamed to have a prime minister who is held on a leech like a dog by mr Bush...
Friends who are trying to evacuate have told us that the American embassy in Lebanon is treating the Americans that want to evacuate like shit. AND they are making them pay for their evacuation, 3000$/person. While the French from what I understand are evacuating their citizens for free and taking some Americans with them.

FROM A GOOD CANADIAN GENTLEMAN TO THE PRIME MNISTER OF CANADA: July 19, 2006
Prime Minister Harper,
I am appalled at your government's support of what you describe as Israel's "measured response". The civilian toll, both now and in the future, and the widespread destruction of the Lebanese infrastructure can not be justified. Both Hezbollah's and Israel's actions should be classified as terrorism. Bombing civilian residential areas, with the resultant deaths and suffering, because Hezbollah members may be among the population is clearly in contradiction to the Geneva Convention as well as any civilized morality. For Canada to condone these actions makes us complicit and no better than those terrorists we so rightly condemn. I can only guess who's interests and what lobby groups you are trying to please. The result of Israel' actions as well as Canada's and US support will result in more hatred of the West and more terrorists.
I should remind you that the US, except for their triumphant invasions of Panama and Grenada, have lost every war since the Second World War. Their foreign affairs have been, even for the most optimistic observer, a complete disaster. (Please refer to their success with North Korea, Iraq, Iran, etc.). The Moslem extremists must thank God every day for sending them George Bush. I hope you never please them near as much! Helping Afghanistan to rebuild their country maybe a noble goal for Canada, but being associated with and part of the "US led coalition" is a certain recipe for more failure and human suffering.
I must applaud the use of your airbus to save some of the stranded Canadians that you justify being bombed in the first place. I think you could have done a little better to have taken a regularly scheduled flight home from Paris and given your place to additional stranded Canadians. I don't think Canadians need a phony demonstration of caring "photo-op".
I believe I have made a serious mistake in supporting you in the last election. I won't make that mistake in the future.
I may have this all wrong? If you want to discuss just give me a call. I can be at your office in 30 minutes
I completely agree with you on everything you said Robert. It's becoming more and more evident that more people are waking up to the lies and atrocities of the Isrealis and the Americans. The American people are saying very different things then that LOSER SCUM BAG Bush .... they're in opposition to what israel is doing and they're blogging about how they've grown weary of the Isrealis. go Robert!
The thing is this the people now control the media more than "they" (Isreal & America) know it...things they used to hide can now be transferred and shown and discussed more easily and rapidly, similar to sites such as these...let's be honest, two kidnapped soliders are worth the lives of 300 (and sadly counting) Lebanese lives...let's be honest here do they think we're blind...this massacre has to stop...the world must communicate and oppose this offensive...to the Hez and Hamas extremist, stop feeding them, stop allowing them to twist things in their favour, your actions are just as condemable as the Jews...but don't worry Lebanon will regain its promenance and continue to rebuild as they have done in the past...thats the people's greatest strength, and what beautiful people who continue to rise time after time war after war in their own home to rebuild Lebanon...
I am a proud Montrealer, French Canadian, with deepest respect for our lebanese community. I knew Mr. Al-Akhrass as he was my pharmacist. He was a proud lebanese with deep family roots and bearing an undying love for his mother country. This tragedy has struck us right in our hearts. At work, we talk about it all the time. This is all so sad and unfair. It's almost like we got hit right here in Montreal. And where is our canadian government in all this? Busy sipping fine champagne and caviar in the G-8 Summit, and telling the whole world Israelis have the right to do what they did. I feel ashamed amd sickened.
So to all of you friends so far away, hang in there, hang tough, you are in our daily prayers. Allah maakoom

the reason why everything went nuts after the iraq invasion is because no one did anythign about all the lies that started the invasion. which showed these evils that... "well they had all the proof that we lied out of our asses and they still didnt do anything and still arent... oh a couple did a little protest but they went back to the usual selfs right after that one day.."
so now they do what they want because we dont do anything to stop them.
would a thief stop stealing from a store who lets them steal no..
would a thief stop stealing from a store who wont let them yes..
the thief will move on to something else... but if he is stopped again and again.. welll what then... they have nothing...
but to make shure they dont steal again you help them with a job that pays well....
