non, it's someone in lebanon witnessing indiscriminate bombing... like when you bomb roads, power stations, ports, airports, civil defense buildings, hospitals, civilian cars, civilian buildings, all whilst saying you are bombing terrorists... indiscriminate is when you say you're bombing terrorists, and then bomb everything and everyone without exception in the most absurd of manners.
They are trying to create the conditions of a structural modification of Hizb'Allah's position in Lebanon, by strongly damaging Hizb'Allah directly, by signifying to all that helping Hizb'Allah has a steep cost, by forcing the Lebanese state to replace Hizb'Allah with its army as the sovereign presence at the Lebanese southern frontier...
That's not indiscriminate bombing. If Israël decided to annihilate Lebanon, they could do so in a few seconds. That's not what they are doing at all. But I understand that it must be incredibly distressing to see one's country being bombed, and fellow contrymen die. Alors courage, et fait attention à toi. Perso je pars pour Tel Aviv demain (c'était prévu de longue date; ma famille, qui n'est pas juive, y a des amis). J'espère ne pas me manger un Shahab sur la gueule. Ciao.

point taken, israel is not indiscriminately bombing lebanon, but rather deliberately murdering over 100 civilians in less than 3 days, including 8 of canadian citizenship. i am sure these war crimes will go a long way to root out the 'terror' that they claim to be after... pax
You know perfectly well that Israël isn't trying to kill innocent civilians. And that many islamists (and certainly Hizb'Allah and Hamas) have a consistent policy of making sure to protect themselves by having a maximum of civilians around (so that it lessen their chances of being hit, and so that every execution of a terrorist is a propaganda victory for them).

exactly where are you? in lebanon? because you speak with such conviction, it's as if you were here. i, on the other hand, am here, and i'm seeing it all with my own two eyes - through the lens of a camera that shows me everything, not just what the mainstream media lets me see. there's nothing moral, ethical, justified or defensive about israel's actions. do not use phrases such as "you know perfectly well" because in this case, YOU know much less than i do. there's no arguing that point. i don't need to remind you of israel's past in defense of my observations: the present is more than sufficient

On a déjà vu des carpet-bombings plus efficaces, si c'est ce que c'est (Dresde, par exemple)... Et ce n'est pas parce que tu es au centre de l'action que tu sais et comprend tout, que je sache. Moi je n'y suis pas (jsuis à NY et je pars pour Tel Aviv dans une dizaine d'heures), et je ne sais et ne comprend pas tout non plus, mais je me fonde sur le passé et sur des infos que tu ne conteste pas il me semble (à moins que tu crois qu'il y a eu des milliers ou des dizaines de milliers de morts ?). Et ce n'est pas parce qu'Al Manar n'est pas "mainstream" que c'est plus objectif... Sur ce, j'te bise. :)

Due to my job I am travelling a lot, especially to middle eastern countries. Thus, I have been to Beirut just a few weeks ago. Before I left I surfed the net for some information concerning your country and was very excited to find your blog. Especially the Gemmayze Open House Party pictures amazed me. I then rearranged my travel plans to stay a bit longer in Lebanon to see the "real" Beirut. The 4 days I spent in and around Beirut were wonderful. I had terrific nights out and met many fun, friendly and open-minded people. And I have never seen so many gorgeous girls in one place :-) Seeing now the destruction that is inflicted on your country by Israel hurts my heart. This attack couldn't come at a worst point in Lebanon's history. I had the impression, that after the cheddar revolution, your country finally came to a rest, began to form consensus and got a perspective for the future. This unjustifiable assault on your country's freedom and integrity thus can't be tolerated and I am disappointed by the weak reactions of the G8 and EU officials (I am an Austrian national). Finkployd, just wanted to let you know that a link to your blog was posted on a message board I visit here in the USA. What you have posted has given me a whole new perspective on what is being done to your country and its people. For once even I think our media is doing a good job not trying to be too pro-Israel and I'm sure alot of people in my country see the injustice being inflicted on your people. Just wanted to say again as in my other post that I hope you, your family, your countrymen and especially the children of Lebanon are safe and that your lives will be back to normal before you know it. I'm sure that the world cannot sit back and watch this happen for too long. This just makes me sick to my stomach and ashamed for the government of my country if they support these massacares any further. God bless the innocent civilians of Lebanon
I don't think this needs to be very fancy. I blame Hizbulah for not respecting the Lebanese flag and the meaning of its patriotism as Lebanese. Their chalange of a Super Armed Prejudice State has brought caos and death to friends, relatives and country mates for both Lebanon and Israel. What makes the human race unique in the animal kingdom, is our state of consciousness wich alows us to controll our animal instincts..raw rage..We are gifted with the capacity and ability to reason and use common sense in all aspects of our lives. Are the syrians and Iranians more lebanese then the Lebanese people? or is the syrian and iranian flag the real Lebanese flag?..... I also blame hizbulah for giving us the chance to see how disgusting and sick hearted are the israelis. They send their 5yr old kids to sign bombs and projectiles that are aimed with prejudice at fleeing and noncombatants civilians, carelessly wipping out entire families in the safety and comfort of their homes! No one in this world needs to see this or experience this kind of degenerate sense of judgement by israel or any other peoples. I blame again hizbulah.
