When Hariri took over the government in the early 2000s, Solidere illegally blocked all Yachts from docking at the St. Georges (which has had docks since before the Civil War).
Further to this act, they installed buoys to control the St. Georges docks (see yellow, orange, and white buoys).
Last week, the St. Georges crew cut the ropes and pulled the buoys out of the water to reopen the docks.
Previous attempts at cutting the ropes have been met with Police intervention acting on behalf of Solidere.
Last week, with the formation of a balanced government the Police stood back and watched as justice was served on Solidere.
Many years back I accidentally went down to St Georges attempting to get down to the solidere side of the dock. I was approached by buff dudes who stoppped me from exiting st Georges to enter the solidere marina and told me to go outside, circle the place, and enter from solideres entrance. The whole thing was quite ridiculous seeing that the supposed "boardwalk" was completely OPEN and there was nothing physically seperating me from the solidere part.
Does anyone here know who those guys work for? St Georges/solidere? It would make sense that they work foe st Georges but I just wanted to double check (I shouldda just asked them)!
They work for St. Georges and are there to maintain control over that section of the docks.
Solidere has repeatedly attempted to sieze the docks, and use them for their own ends (setting up Solidere stations), so the St. Georges has had to resort to 24hour human barriers (it's illegal to set up permanent structures on the docks) to maintain control over their section of the docks.
Interestingly enough, the docks (all) themselves are public property - the entire marina is - but Solidere has sealed it off illegally to turn it into a marina for the rich only.
You should, legally, be able to walk into the marina from the two Solidere controlled entrances to stroll on the docks and enjoy the 2a3de
Just a reminder, Solidere is a Private Company - it is not the government or a public entity! Hariri, however, would like you to believe that Solidere is Beirut, since he owns Solidere and thus would like you to believe he owns Beirut.
Solidere is private company, true !
Saad el hariri wants you to believe many things, true !
But he doesn't own solidere, it's a stock company "Most of Solidere’s investors are European and North American investment firms or Arab investors from the Gulf", although the hariri family is the principle shareholder.
I'm just tired of people saying the misconception that hariri owns solidere, cause they're using the subject just for propaganda against him.
This is a pretty small matter in the grievous injustices in the world. But I find it very refreshing to read that this tiny matter has been set right. Little things do matter.

it's all about the patterns walid.
when votes come in 'odd' patterns - there's generally a concern over the legitimacy of the votes :)
that's how fraud is detected in real world elections.
This shows:
1- Someone has taken this too seriously.
2- The guy behind this blog is not happy with the fake election results.
3- He knows nothing about twitter and how networking works beca [...]
