SNOWSTORM IN LEBANON!!! (Half a Meter at 800m altitude)

last this happened was in 1991... and even then... it didn't snow half a meter in Beit Mery!!!!!

all power lines are cut, trees are down, and Lebanon at 500+ meters has come to a complete standstill...

it's still snowing, 24 hours after it started. i've managed to set up a wireless connection in my car, so i'll be dispatching as often as i can.

here are the first set of photos, stay tuned for more!

Lebanon... comes from the Aramaic word of Laban, which translates to 'snow capped'

I knew it snowed occasionally in Lebanon but holy sh*t!

Still beautiful though, so much beauty in a land of such suffering.

Buckle up brother! I'm sure most other drivers aren't used to that either. We had snow like that where I live ... middle of the desert usa .... and people were doing donuts and sliding all over the place. Great pics and great site ... just discovered it.
