synopsis:
"Btifrok" is a 50-minute-long side-splitting comedy that takes place in a cafe in Beirut and revolves around an intellectual, snobbish female and a young street-smart gentleman who tries to seduce her ... a procedure that is frequently interrupted by the lovable and annoying waiter. -dailystar

"Machhad" is a mime largely based on audience participation.
The play has one performer - Abdel-Nour himself - who builds the stage from scratch by removing objects from his coat and silently uses body language to introduce the play topic. He then selects volunteers from the audience to act out the different parts. Five audience members, completely untrained, get on-stage for the first time and act the whole play, in mime of course. -dailystar

Dear Ziad,
We met briefly in October last year when I lived 2 months on Shatila Refugee Camp.
I am a friend of Kate Griffin of the Arts Council England.My book Camp Shatila - a Writer's Chronicle is just published in the UK and the Shatila children have just returned from the UK after touring the play I created with them on camp.It was a fantastic success, and we are planning to bring them back early in 2011.I loved your theatre and would also like to perform the play there - it is one act and performed in English.The whole project has caused a great deal of interest here.It would be very good to hear from you. it's all about the patterns walid. when votes come in 'odd' patterns - there's generally a concern over the legitimacy of the votes :) that's how fraud is detected in real world elections.
